Shake the spot?
I'm thinking about starting a new life, dropping my job, dropping my friends, maybe moving, I just need change.
Anyone ever do this?

Sort of....
When I met my husband (in a chat room) I moved to New York to be with him...so in a way yes I have done that. But not as extreme as you're talking about. I was still in contact with my family but I did lose quite a few friends when I left. I did, however, make quite a few too. So I guess it's evened out.... |

Id like to do that sometimes. Owning a house, and being married make that kinda rough to do though.:o

I did that when I came here to college. I still have a few old friends, but just the ones I really got along with; I completely dropped the people I was friends with only out of courtesy/mutual friends... I say go for it. Life is too short to NOT change if you are unhappy...

Well, when I was 19 I was working at tis lame ass hardware store making less than what I should have made...I was going to school full-time so I was busy with that...and my mom was just not cutting me ANY slack with my social life and freedom...and I was seeing this guy who was two-timing...so I needed change...so I joined the USAF...and don't regret it. Changed my life completely...

That's sort of what I did when I left for college, like Wren. I couldn't ever drop my friends though. My friends now are ones I've know for at least 3 years...some since I was in 6th grade. I couldn't cut ties like that.

As for friends it's different for me. Most of my current local friends are people I work with, we have a tight group. I go out to clubs, sporting events, drinking, etc with these people. Only one of them has a strong tie with me, i'd probably let he know what's up. I'm not even sure what i'm doing yet anyways. As for the rest of them, no one would care. My true set of friends are all my home boys in hawaii, those guys will always be my friends.
As for shaking the spot, I have too much to give up right now, to much going for me, i just need change though. Maybe going back to school this summer will help with that.

^ See i always have Hawaii. That's like my ace in the hole though. I'm saving that one for when shit really hits the fan.
YEAH!! Thier moving my seat at work.... Ohh wait, it's gonna be closer to the ex, DOH!! I swear my life get's better as the days go on, (insert sarcasm here). Hopefully they'll move her too, hopefully further away. More reasons to make me want to shake the spot.

Why is it that when people leave their city or something, they leave everything?
Why stop posting here, just because your leaving home.
