Best engine swap for a 92-95 civic?
What would be the best swap for power, and how much hp would you get out of it?
Also, if you could say how much that engine goes for $$ it would help too, thanks. |

I like the B16A personally....160-170hp stock depending on where the engine came from and what year its for. Of course you cant go wrong with the B18C's but there is just something about that B16A making 100hp per liter that excites me

Straight line speed: H22A
NA speed: B18C FI speed: B16A, also the B18B is a good candidate here. as well as the b20. unfortunately im not a fan of the gearing on the b20. so id stick with the b18b if you decide to go DOHC non VTEC. |

H22a More than just straight line speed... Don't tell me you're one of those guys who still says that h22a swaps in civic give it MASSIVE understeer. I must say that it doesn't cause much understeer at all. Nothing some Tanabe strut bars didn't fix! Handles better than when i had the b16 in my car!

I would go with the b16 it would be the cheapest of the swaps to do and you can spend the money you save on other mods. Very strong and reliable engine. IMO one of the best engines honda has mass produced.
