whats behind the door molding
just wondering if anybody knows if there any holes behind the door moldings on the 6th gen 4door accords or if its just double sided tape

i think it's just the tape. the moldings, i've heard, are optional

just wondering since i know the coupes dont have them but i dont want to take them off if i going to have holes all over

I believe it is only tape. Many people shave them.

How do we take em off, if we do, would we have to paint over that spot to make it match wit the car again?? I hate those moldings!!!!!

i had the side moldings shaved at the body shop, theres about a 1/4" dip and a few holes, it all needs to smoothed out, you cant just takem off.. if you open the drivers door or even passenger, you can see the dip in the door by the moldings, or even take off a door panel and look at the holes/dip from the inside..

Ok...now I'm more confused than ever...where are tehy located...can someone get a pic that shows one clearly. I thought door moudling was that rubber thing that goes aroudn the perimeter of the door.

if u go to photo exchange look at the columbus meet pics my car is on there look at the middle of the doors it helps to keep doors from hitting your (so they say they need to tell that to the 2 marks on my door) i have the 4 door

I never attached pix before but here it goes. Juv- U see the black stripe going across the door? I think thats what they are talkin about.
And if you open the driver's door and look at the molding from the sides, you can see its within the door so if youre going to take the moldings off...I think you might want to paint and fill the long gap where the molding once was. |

car looks good im going to get the full octane kit for my car hopefully this spring but yah thats the door molding im talking about i could do part of the body work but i don't have a welder thats why i didn't want the holes there
