Please need profesional advice here! Problem with Check Engine light! ;(
Hello and happy new year !
As the topic says, I was watching a topic in the “Step By Step section” and there is a topic about “How to Figure out your Check Engine Light code“ and inside it tells like a self diagnostics of the ECU “Turn the ignition switch to ON ( II ), Then turn it back to off three times. “ Then I went to my car and I notice that the Check Engine light doesn’t turn ON!!! I think that the last owner had a problem and he disconnected the light, so: What can I do to fix it? Where could it be disconnected? Any help I would really appreciate! Thanks |

What I mean is that the light doesnt turn on at any time. For example: When u turn on the car, all the lights in the dash turns on exept the Check Engine. What I think is that someone for one reason disconnected it. Or, how can I make sure if it is connected?

hmm that's weird. short your service connector pins and see if it goes on solid. as far as i know most of the cars have the CEL on during the self check

i think on your car the conector is behind the center console. it should be a blue conector, and the short it with a paper clip and put the key on the on position.

It dont have the bulb!!!!! So, I will buy one. But I took anoter bulb and put it there and make some tests. After reading codes it gave me these:
Code 23 Knock Sensor Circuit Malfunction It can be fix with these: -Open or short in Knock Sensor (KS) circuit -Knock Sensor (KS) -ECM Code 1 Primary Heated Oxygen Circuit High/Low Signal -Open or short in Primary HO2S sensor -Primary HO2S sensor -ECM Code 43 Fuel Supply System To much errors hhhmmm?? What can I fix , I dont know much about engines. =O( |
