I just bought a pair of Auto Locks from Autoloc.com
Well fellas and chicas, my autolocs just came in right when I was about to head out for school. I was soooo excited I skipped class to see how hard it would be to install them.
I removed my passenger side door. The window crank was kinda hard to get off. I was lucky cuase I bought a Hayes Civic book and it had an excellent diagram of how to take the window cranks off. I read the directions (by the way, it only had 3 freaking pictures to look at and they were poor quality; it looks like they must have photocopied the directions 100 times). Try assembling an engine block with only text directions and you have some idea of how Autoloc's directions are. After about an hour of trying to figure out what goes where. I was able to understand how these things work, but since autoloc's are made like "one size fits all", you have to ghetto fit the actuator on the door some how. None the less, I think I will wait for the weekend to finish this up. |

I'm assuming you're adding power locks to your car? Good luck. Let us know how it turns out.

did u get the 5 wire system or the 2 wire?
you have to bend the metal rod so it runs PARALLEL with the door rod. Cut it to size and make sure you have full travel and it's NOT hard to move the lock manually. It's fairly easy. If you need more help post up in the security forum where i will be sure to see it. This would have been good in a 12v FORUM!!! |
