How Expensive
Sup guys? How's everyone doing? Hopefully better than me. I got a question for you guys and i want you guys not to be bias towards hondas etc. I want to get an Accord, change the engine for a Europe Type R accord engine. I want to know how reliable they are? Also my uncle tells me not to get hondas because they are to expensive to fix. Is this true? Are the parts expensive or is the labor expensive?
Cubanito P.S.: Does anyone want to buy a Chevy Malibu. I can't stand the damn thing anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

ok here it goes: hondas=reliable cars if treated right( fluids canged on time, tuneups and the whole 9 yards). if u don't treat the car right it will crap on you.
now back to the engine question: nobody is doing it. the euro accord r has a h22a7 engine( duh! it's the prelude engine in us) but you can get a japanese h22a engine which is the same quality, but cheaper. as for the chevy malibu you can keep it. i don't want it

Go JDM to save some cash. Either one will fit though.
As for repairs, they might be more expensive than some domestics, but they are much cheaper to reapair than Euros.

Since the euro engine is an accord engine will it have a better fit than the JDM prelude?

the f22 and h22 engines have the same motormounts. h22a swaps were done before in accords and the engine will drop right in. wiring is a different story. and if u look at the accord in eu and in the us they are totally different
