new sound system - problem
Ok my brother n law just got me an older cd player im embarrased of it but it works for now plus i have his kicker in the trunk, i still gota get good speakers and a new amp hopefully a new cd player but what drives me crazy the most is that it whistles when i accelerate or shift gears that kind of thing I know theres something you get to stop that but i forgot does anyone else kno?

Sounds like a bad ground to me. Check your grounds and see if that fixes anything.
P.S. I don't know much about stereos though, so you might want to wait for another reply

Its engine noise from a bad ground... you can re ground it, or buy noise isolators and hook your RCAs into them before running them to the amp...
