fuel pump

I plan on using the AEM fuel pressure regulator and fuel rail. Do I need to upgrade the stock fuel pump? I have heard horror stories of people upgrading their pump. Also, I see that internal and external pumps are available ( I was looking on horsepowerfreaks) for the lude. Which is better? If you do recommend the upgrade, which brand?

I always figured that it'd be okay..only needed if you were going to the "extreme."

I think it's not a bad idea. I just like the thought of having the volume of fuel ready if needed. Just remember that your FPR will still regulate the amount of fuel to the injectors regardless of what size fuel pump you have. It's the readiness of the volume to be "there" that puts my mind at ease.....

oh. well you still don't need an upgraded fuel rail or a fuel regulator if you get a good engine management. don't you have to get your engine rebuilt first?
