Wheel hop
So just what exactly causes it?
So last night it was drizzling a little and the roads had been wet for the day. Coming into my complex I gave a little too much gas and didn't nurse the clutch enough for my sh*tty MXV4's and they broke loose. The wheels hopped 3-4 times and kinda startled me and also made me worry about breaking my baby's axles or something. She seems fine today..... Anyhow, so just what causes it and is there any possible minor damage that may not be very apparent at first if the wheels do hop? b |

that's a common problem. i guess the tires are a bit overinflated. i wouldn't wqorry about it.

Lol, on my old set of tires, I'd get CRAZY wheel hop. Best way to solve it is a good suspension, but you could check your tire pressure first.

Do a burn out, but instead of the wheels spinning smoothly, they hop and your car shakes like mad.

Except with wheel hop you can break an axle or two and it shakes the living hell outta your whole front end. It's more like having some really quick hydraulics on the ride.
I don't think the tires are overinflated, but it's good to know that can be a cause. I'm about to be getting new wraps soon anyways, hopefully my wet traction will get better. b |
