Knocking sound?
When i take a turn to the right or left the front end of my car makes a knocking sound. It doesn't do it all the time and it doesn't do it in reverse. Does anyone have any clues to as what it could be? I had a look and the boots look fine on the front end.

the cv joints are going bad. boots could look ok but what's inside matters. get new axles

Can't he just replace the cv joints without replacing the axels? I know that if you drive too long with bad joints it'll ruin the axel and then the bad axel will ruin the new cv joints all the time....but does he really need a new axel right off the bat?
I ask because I don't know, not arguing with you. Oh, and I second the bad joints problem. b |

ok replacing the bad joints will turn just as expensive as replacing the entire axle. so where is the gain ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Is that supposed to be a trick question? Ooh oooh, I know the answer.....there is no gain! Woohooooo! I woulda figured a new axel would be more expensive, but if it's not, then oh well.... b |
