trunk and speakers
ok i am totally not into systems but one of the kids i take care of really likes the loud pounding music. i never wanted a system because i need all my trunk space (transporting kids in wheelchairs) but i saw illusions pics and saw he had speakers installed on the side of his trunk. is that ok to do? meaning decent sound? if so is there a specific brand? what all would i need? everything in my car is bone stock.

ok, I cant remember who is illusion or what setup he has..
You do realize that you still will loose trunk space. But I guess you mainly need the depth. For the sound, its good. Its basically the box that is built to fit into that side space. So you'll need someone to build that for you. Then you obviously need the driver (woofer) and an amp to power the woofer. So whats your budget?

If you're talking about fiberglass, that isn't cheap but will work for what you're wanting to do.....a cheaper alternative would be a Q-logic form box. They make them specific to your car and are meant to take up minimal space.

ok i could take up this much space but nothing more.
http://www.hondastyle.com/forums/sho...703#post104703 i am not even sure i even want to do this much, i dont want to ruin my car just so he can enjoy his hard hitting music. as for money......its not something i am doing today so if its worth doing i will do it right and if i cant do it right i wont. plain and simple.

Actually I believe Q-Logic and MTX ThunderForms will fit in the trunk of a 92-95 civic. They are for a single 10", I think. They really make the system sound a lot better, you should check it out.

well those boxes illusion have are notched so that the trunk will still close......
buuuuuuut.........if you want to slam for a decent price..........get 2 audiobahn flame Q 10s offa Ebay for $7 7 a piece...and an audiobahn 1500HC.....also with that much power you will need to get ATLEAST a 1 farad cap.......but that doesnt really save the battery or alt........it just helps...... |
