Slight drop in power

It feels like it dosent have as much acceleration as it did about a year ago when I bought it. I think it may have something to do with the fuel injector like maybe its not delivering enough or its real dirty. Are there any other things that could attribute to this, or quick fixes?

You are just used to it by now. My 12's are like that. I got used to how loud they are and now they sound like they arent hitting as hard so I have to turn them up a little. But do check that the injectors are clean and everything is right.

the geekz0r (11:04:16 PM): so 2nd pulls like 1st in the 5speed, 3rd is like 2nd, etc.
PortugeeTex (11:04:26 PM): so whats 1st like then?
the geekz0r (11:04:49 PM): 1st is like hitting a cheeta in the ass with a tazer
PortugeeTex (11:04:53 PM): lmfao

when's the last time the oil was changed? Plugs? Wires? if that has been changed and done normally and still the same then injectors are probably the problem...
good luck..

if ya got the cash, go to barnes an noble or something similar and pick up "how to build honda horsepower". I borrowed my friends copy and they have some pretty interesting dyno charts. Including one where by removing the a/c a 4 hp gain was noted.

right on this thread has been fully taken care of w/ searching! YAY! Im so proud of you!

Yeah, turn the ac off if you dont need it. Try SeaFoam or a combined pair of mild carb/tb and fuel cleaners (if youre concerned about the engine seals). Adjust the throttle cable - slightly taught, not tight. Check your o2 sensors - replace if needed.

(speaking of o2 sensors, I just replaced my primary w/ a denso 'first time fit' unit and am very pleased w/ the price and quality)

If nothing else try the fuel system cleaner and some carb/tb cleaner...or seafoam the whole car in 1 can for CHEAP. It'll help a lot.
