Individual Throttle Bodies
I'm gonna make this short and sweet. Is it possible to turbo an ITB setup???? And if so, what would be involvd in doing so???

Well, I guess you could, but it would be pointless.
You'd need four very small throttle bodies, a custom made intake manifold, and you'd probably have to remove your firewall. |

the largest throttle body i can find is 70mm for an h22, versus the ITB setup that has four 50mm ports. Thats 200mm total vs. 70mm; why is that pointless????????

Because with FI it's all under pressure, anyway. A lot of engine building physics/basics go out the door with FI.
Do you realize the size of the blower you'd have to run with four 50mm ITBs? The injectors to keep up? The number of motors you'd go through? It's pointless. |
