Speakers getting annoying..help!

I need some help from you audio guys

Me and a friend installed four 6 1/2 inch Memphis speakers into my 97 Integra 2dr about a month ago. At first they sounded great, but now the FRONT 2 speakers(left/right door) are sounding really distorted with any kind of bass. A nasty rattling sound basically. The back 2 speakers sound great, bass and voice. But the front's seem to only be good for the vocals, bass makes it sound terrible. We have taken off the doors, and checked to see what's rattling, but its coming straight from the speakers. We are stumped, me and a couple friends who KNOW what they are doing, and we can't figure this one out.

Are the speakers messed up or could this be some electrical/wiring prob??? any ideas or help would be appreciated, I really don't want to send it into the local audio shop and waste some $.

Thanks,
Stephen

You blew them already. The rattling you hear is the voice coil and/or the spider.

Get new speakers, install a high pass crossover (bass blocker), and stay away from Memphis this time.

YUP YUP.... you blew them. Make sure to use high pass filter. If you are using an amp, make sure that the speakers are rated well above the ap rms rating.
