Best tires?
Just wondering what the best tires would be for the summer on my 92 civic hb? I am going for 17's or 18's for rims just to let you know.

you mean as in brand ? i would say pirrelli, but then again i am a pirrelli whore so.... but if you go 17 your sixe would be 205/40/17. i think 18's are waaay too much for a civic, even for the bigger accord they are too much

don't go 18's, 17's are even pushing it on a civic
I tend to like 16's on civics more. I have Kumho Ecstas 711's on my rims, and I like them alot. they do wear kinda fast tho |

Well, first get 16's. I used to ride on a set of 205/17/40 and it sucked. I even experimented on 215/17/40.... sucked even more. Then I switched to 16's. Major improvement especially with 205/45.
I dont get anything else but Parada Spec2 or Falken Azenis. |

I had bad camber on the teg, so I went through a lot of tires- the kumhos, a set of Dunlop W10s, Toyos, the list goes on the The Yokohama Parada Spec IIs were by far my favorite. I wouldn't go lower than a 40 series. I ran a 35 once, and I hated it. I wouldn't go bigger than a 17- if you run 18s with a 40 series, your Civic will look lifted

I'm with Thermal.. I personally wouldn't go any bigger then a 16 inch wheel with a 45 series tire. The are a lot nicer for everyday driving. If you are going big for show, whatever go for it. At that point the brand of tire doesn't really matter a lot.

wouldnt really go bigger then 16". sometimes, and its very rarely do i see a nice civic with 17's. I have nitto neo-gens along with 2 of my other friends. one of them being on this board. and they are great tires.
