Rear Sway Bar
Is anyone familiar with how difficult this installation is? I looked at chilton's but isn't telling me a whole lot.

Not that I have done it myself, but I think if you find your stock sway bar, you can pretty much figure out what will be required in switching it out for a larger-diameter aftermarket peice.

Im assuming that you probably have a 90s civic or integra. The rear is only held on by a few bolts and it really jsut a straight forway swap. The front on the other hand it a little more involved and you have to drop some of the exhaust. If you have a 2 peice header it is not big deal but if you have a turbo or a one peice header its a pain.

The rear is very simple to do. Just a couple of bolts and its done.

Wider Rims will help but a swaybar will help more.. just make sure you dont get to thick of one because you can cause a lot of unwanted oversteer

Most all good bars will reqiure some drilling to the sub frame. not hard though. The easiest var to install is the Suspension Techniques, where you will not have to remove the control arm bolts at the sub-frame.
I'd say regardless of which bar you pick it will be a 2-3 hour project without a lift. |
