Fill me in here...

Anyone know anything about the Goldline springs for a Civic?

Are they any good?

Anyone actually have them installed? Pics plz...

If so are you happy with them?

How do they compare to other spring manufacturer products?

Thanks.

I just searched the archieved messages on h-t and there is NO good input about goldline springs...

if you want to go cheap get gc's they're supposedly ok... I always recomend eibach pro-kit springs... they take some getting used to but they're GREAT. Nice comfy ride till you load them up then they're stiff as all hell.

I'm kind of leaning toward the Progress springs. I was looking for a 1.7 to 2.0 drop. The Eibach Pro-Kits are only like 1.3 or so, correct?

Also, do you have a link to a vendor that has good prices on the GCs for my Civic? A URL is appreciated.

Thanks again.

The H&R springs look like a quality set. Thanks for the feedback.

That's exactly what I'm looking for.

What about the drop? I have 16" Enkei CDR9s and don't want too much wheel gap but I don't want a slammed look either. I'm hoping to get a good set of springs and a nice drop the first time around, preferably in the 1.6" - 2.0" range.

eibachs are NOT drop springs.... the only go down like 1.8 at most like you said.

as far as them being a ripoff..??? Why? they're under 200 bucks and they're VERY dynamic springs designed SOLELY for increased performance of the car... not ride hieght and looks.

I had them on my sentra and TONS of people commented on how sweet they felt... in all ranges... cruising or ripping through corners... before I had them my car used to lift off in the front whenever I got on it... and the body roll was UNREAL... after I got them and kyb struts the car handled SICK... I mean REALLY sick. WAY better than an ser (the sport packaged sentra). and that was still without ANY strut or sway bars.

The only thing I can tell you about Gold-Line springs is they sell them at my Honda dealer --- largest Honda dealer in the region --- #3 in America --- and like #10 in the world --- whatever. These guys can sell anything they want, but the parts manager swears they are the best. Of course, this is all anecdotal, so it doesn't mean squat. They look okay, but I've never personally known anybody that has run them except Jody, the parts manager dude at my Honda dealer...

When I'm trying to sort these kinds of things out in my mind, I like to search a place called Modacar. They are a one-stop shopping place for imports. If they carry something, you know it's good --- actually good, better, best based on price. This is their spring section for CiViC's. If it's on this page, you can bet it's okay...

Is there a difference between springs and coilovers with regard to how fast they kill your stock struts? Does one wear less quickly than the other or are they both just as harsh?
