you guys are all soooooo gay why do you care if he spelled it wrong he doesn't even know if it is or not. he obviously is new to it so simply stating that it's spelled vtec is sufficient.

i did simply state it. if you take it as a personal bashing, thats your problem. it was more of a joke than anything else. a sense of humor is ok to have. |

EVERY EX is a SOHC VTEC, the DX and LX are SOHC non-VTEC and the HX is VTEC-E. The Integra GSR is DOHC VTEC and so is the 99-00 Civic SI and the brand new Civic SI hatch, the 5th Gen SI hatch still has the D16Z6 which is SOHC VTEC and is found in the 5th Gen EX also |

...dude lighten up,no it doesnt always say vtec on top of the engine, it depends on what engine it is, the SOHC dont have the cover that the DOHC's do.....
i thought vtec didnt come out on civic ex's till 96 and up |

i fail to see the hype over VTECHQUE its not something wonderful like its made out to be. its just a way to have radical cams for upper rpms and mantain good city driving. alot of high power vtec motors have vtec killer cams, becauscam profile change will be very tricky on a high power fuel system. and the SOHC vtec motors are not performance motors as the DOHC vtec motors are.

damn and here I was thinking my 93 ex had vtec... shiot it don't say so on the "BLACK THING ON TOP OF THE MIDDLE OF THE ENGINE"
Oh and the sohc engines with vtec ARE performance minded... it's certainly not for gas milage. the vtec-e sohc motors are for economy... Just cuz it's 1 cam don't make it not performance.
