Auto start/Alarm
I dont how many people are familiar with bad and friggen cold winters out there.....but here in saskatoon we get KOLD winters. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a Auto Start crossed with a Security System what brands you would suggest. Since I have had my car broken into on my drive way I was thinking that maybe its time to get a Security system, and since it is getting to become winter...well Starting my car with the push of a button would be nice. I also need something compatable with a 5 speed standard....not an auto.
Thanks for any input

Autostart makes a combo for 5speeds. All in 1 module (brain).
Starter + Alarm. Not very expensive either. Or you could also go the expensive route and get an alarm and a starter (2 different modules) and have it installed to run together.

Now I need to know what type of pager you want with your Alarm..
Just the regular remote with like 2 extra lights that flash depending on what happens.. Or you want the one that looks like a mini cell phone, and screen...

For that you need the big pager.. The smaller models with the regular remote with extra light, doesnt do much. You'll need the one with mini cell phone like remote. check these out. http://www.compustar.org/ http://www.commandoalarms.com http://www.howard.co.kr/auto/remote/caralarm.htm

without a dought compustar makes the best alarms out come with a pager that has a digital display of your car and if some messes with your car it show you exatly what is being touched...
I think the website is www.compustar2w.com I can get these alarms e-mail me if interested. I wouldn't recommend a starter w/ a manual tranny 2 many problems and headaches will happen. Also run your alarm off a seperate power supply its easy to pop the hood and yank the wires:sleep: |

Like I said before. It is safe to have a starter with manual tranny. As long as you get one intended for that purpose.
It's safe! www.compustar.org
