Hurricanes are weird. Lots of time people board up their houses and the things don't even come their way. Then other times shit catches you by suprise. When I was living in Houston and hurricane Alicia came through we didn't have a clue it was gonna make landfall. Made for and exciting night, though. Broken windows galore.

Yeah...but it completely fucked some town called Punta Gorda. I actually found it quite odd that there'd be a town called "Fat Bitch", FL. Oh well. Oh yeah...it killed 3 people there. That too.

well we got hit pretty hard, no power at any of the street lights(i picked one up last night!) and trees are down all over the place, flooding too. my other roomate went back to daytona, and he had a 50 ft pine tree fall in his back yard, a tree fell on his neihbors house, and the house got struck by lightning. all of which was caused by a tornado, caused by charlie. we had wind gusts of at least 100 mph. went outside and leaned over and wind trted to push me back it was fun, 4 more days and we will have another one they say. my school got hit pretty hard, and they are closed untill further notice.

i JUST got power back... 82 hours 23 mins... not that i counted . i stayed here the whole time and it was loud and very windy. we herd a few tornados and im guessing thats what did the majority of the damage to my area. there were 105 mph gusts which isnt as bad as ft. meyers or punta gorda but shit, inland orlando. isnt ready for that stuff. my friend went out friday night at about 2am leaving my place, and it was completly trashed. trees in every road, couldnt go through in some places. there were power lines laying everywhere, roofs torn up... it really is a mess here. the winterpark arae of orlando looked pretty bad when i drove through it on sunday even though they already had a whole day to clean up.
