track times... not bad not good
Went to the track last night. seeing what the ol go kart would do. got a lot of runs in. ran on 17" rims with street tires. i realize now i need 2 things: 15" with some better tires, and a LSD. other than that things were fun. gotta get better in 60' though.
the 83 is still my car, track dudes read my number wrong. oh well it was fun! |

nice trap speed, terrible 60' times... you are right about new tires and an LSD... that should make a dramatic difference

Do you have adjustable shocks? Just let me add my 2 cents, even though i'm sure you know how to launch correctly. Adjust your shocks as stiff as possible in the rear, and as soft as possible in the front. Tire pressure up front should be 15psi, and rear should be 55. Now...bring it up to 3k or less, and slowly slip the clutch. Go whatever throttle position you can without breaking the tires loose, because once you miss one gear, you'll loose your cool and run crappy. Don't go wot in 2nd yet either. Shift third hard and by 4k punch it, speed shift into 4th and 5th.
