Question about Tenzo R mufflers
How do they sound? Are they pretty low & deep or loud & high pitched?

i got a TENZO R it's pretty loud!!! More high pitched. If you want LOUD, deffently go with TENZO R, if you want deep, go with APEXi or GREDDY.

Thanks for the pic BlackDeuce. That the same one I was thinking of getting.
But not now I guess. I'm shootin for a pretty quiet and deep tone. Anyone see that butterfly valve that goes between the 2 halves of a 2 piece 4-2-1 system? It's supposed to restrict flow so you can "Tune" your exhaust for sound & then open it up when you want full flow/sound. Is one of these worth getting? |

There is also a "valve" on some exhaust (basically a silencer) that you can twist to tune the sound of your car. They come on a fireball style exhaust.

my exhaust has a silence and it helps on long trips when the exhaust roaring gets annoying, its definately worth it |

The valve I'm talkin about is operated by a cable & a lever INSIDE the car, so you don't have to get out & screw with the can.
When I find the Ad I'll post a link or pic. |

heh it's always on ebay, it's just a y pipe with a valve in it that lets the gas go through the rest of the piping to the muffler or straight out to where. also illegal heh

Actually no, it isn't . It's an In-Line butterfly designed to go between the headder collector & cat , or between the 2 halves of a 2 piece headder. It restricts flow through the pipe. It doesn't redirect to a straight pipe. I used to have 2 of the ones you're talkin about mounted in a Nova that I used to own in High School. Very fun! |
