I visited a few times and my conclusion is that it sucks. Its boring and has no real technical articles at all. Now if you need an opinion on a new set of 20 inch chromes then check it out.

Ya I agree with all of you guys. I used to be on there all the time until 2000Pimpinex posted the link to this site and now I spend most of my time here. I like the format a lot more with pics and stuff like that.

I never frequented ph much, but people on sho seem to call it a ripoff of sho.

H-A is another good place to visit. There are a lot of sites out there but I feel with some time HondaStyle will undoubtable be #1. Its going to take some work by all of us but I know we can do it.

I'm on PH and SHO relatively regularly (same SN), but neither as much as here. I like the layout and people here a lot better.

I once visited PH, a long time ago.
It is a place that I find worse than SHO. Being worse than SHO sure says a lot, Because in my oopinion SHO sucked rocks. I was a HA.net member for 1 year. Then it was split and it went down hill I fear. At that time Honda Tech was just a start up. I got board and went on the hunt. I found AccordClub and jumped with joy. It is now HondaSociety Oh Goody Oh Boy. That got old and repetitve fast. I went back to Honda Tech for a final glance. I liked what I saw, it was fun and addictive. I got an emailed link for HS and reluctantly clicked it. I have found it fun and a nice place to come. When a question needs answers, you can find some. OK, yes I was very freggin bored. Give me a break! |

LOL! Thanks guys.
Actually, I am still an active member of Honda Tech. I will stay active here also. As long as the questions about the cars all don't turn into "What type of light bulbs should I get?", then I will be here for a while. |

not to offend anybody, i can NOT stand H-T or PH at all. there are too many a*****e members. i never did get stomped on, but everytime a newbie post a common question, the newbies gets jumped and get criticized for posting a certain question. it's too harsh. i like a friendly environment like this.

I was there a couple of times but I thought it sucked also. I prefer www.honda-tech.com.

Well here's my two-cents - for what it's worth.
A little background Once upon a time, in a land far far away, a website was born - and they called it 'HondaStyle'.... heh... Seriously - when I finally had the website completed around a month or so ago, I sent out some emails to some of the other popular Honda sites out there. The purpose of the email was to simply introduce myself to my Honda website peers. The responses I got (which were few) were surprising to say the least. The plot thickens I was simply ignored by some (so be it) - and actually, the funny thing was to see one particular owner (I'll give you a hint - it was nobody from ph, sh or h-t) register for the boards (thus obviously receiving my email) but not bothering to respond - not even one word. << Brrrrr >>. Other's sent me less than friendly emails (get a life). Call me crazy, but I would think it to be much more productive for Honda enthusiasts to work together. Competition is not bad and should not be approached as though the competitor is "the enemy". Look at the major retail stores. Believe it or not, when the retail chains open near each other, it can actually increase business. Why? Because it increases common traffic - one store gets you out of the house and into 'shopping mode' - if you don't find what you need from the first store, then you go to a neighboring store. It doesn't mean you'll never return to the first store. You simply increased your options. Just an analagy, but you get the idea. A happy ending So why the long story? To put the ending into context: Purehonda is the only site that has extended any type of courtesy to me. Hats off to Drumsy who has been nothing short of fantastic. There is no disputing that PH has vast technical resources and the rush-hour of message boards. As for any rude treatment... well consider the userbase. It would be nearly impossible for them to control each member's every word. Face it, larger userbase just means that the odds are increased of occasionally running into a jerk. So for what it's worth. I am defending PH That's my story and I'm sticking to it. :: |

Cha-freakin'-ching!!!!!
Wow...I'm at a loss of words. Never has another Honda/Acura board extended that level of kindness towards the other. Lemme see if I can summarize the circle of love here: Superhonda hates Purehonda for "copying(WTF??)" them. Superhonda and Honda Society don't care for the other after the whole "Fo Sho" Mike/Mark incident. Honda-Acura and Honda-Tech aren't too fond of either other from what I understand, after the webmaster left HT.... That just leaves HondaStyle who's yet to get involved. Oh, I won't even mention CSI, nobody like's 'em! To sum it all up, I'm glad out of all the drama between the boards, PH and HondaStyle can find common ground!! Glad to be here folks! |

drumsy,
The H-A.net and H-T.net thing started with an internal fued in HA.net. HA.net ended up splitting into three boards. Hondatech, OffTopic.net and Honda-acura.net. |
