Compler Overhaul

Hey, i have a 95' Civic and i will be going to Basic tarining in may, getting about 2k for that and i was planning on rebuilding the engin in my car (1.6L VTEC) I was wanting to just do a few basics like cam shaft and pistons and a head job, anyone have any reccommendations for the parts and anything else that would need to be looked into (it has about 150k on it) Thanks A lot

Hey HighLanderh, good luck in basic! You may be a bit surprised with what you come out of it with, it probably won't be 2 grand. Unless you're good with money and know how to make all of your uniforms, shoes, and work out gear, you'll be dropping a pretty penny on all that stuff.
But, in all honesty, BEST of luck, keep in touch with those you love and keep your head UP, UP, UP!

Well what do you want your car to be?
150k miles means nothing on a Honda. Get a compression check & leak down test. If everything checks ok there, move on to parts. For under 2G you could get a Greddy turbo kit or for even less a nice nitrous setup with all gauges & such.....
