1. A variety of single malt Scotch, straight up
2. A variety of cognac (Remy XO is best I've had as of yet) 3. Black Butte Porter 4. Tequila Espolon, straight up 5. A whole slew of other beers but nothing from national US "brew"eries. Keep beer rice free. There are so many mixed drinks that are good, they range from simple to complicated.....but you will find good combos with time. Simple stuff like Capt'n and Coke, Jack and Coke, Crown and Coke, Absolut Kurrant & 7-up, Irish Mist & Sierra Mist, etc. are all simple and hard to screw up. Of course a hairy navel is easy and good too, on the more nutritious side.....so it's, errrr, justifiable. b |

Remy, as all cognacs are, is a sipping drink. Same goes for Scotch, brandy, good tequila (reposado or anejo), and some other good drinks. Shooting Remy......*shudders*
Homebrew, now that's good stuff! My 2 homebrews so far have been very good, I'm looking forward to the weather cooling off so I can get back to it. I haven't forked out the money yet for a fermentation ice chest. Bud, Bud Light, Bud Ice, Miller Light, etc etc etc are all crappy American lagers. The ingredients of beer are malted barley, hops, water, and yeast. I don't see rice anywhere in that list. Although I will grant you there are some mighty fine wheat beers. The sad thing is that all the major American breweries used to sell good beer. Then the apocalypse of American beer came along, prohibition, and it killed quality American beer. They all went to productin sodas and the likes, and after prohibition was repealed only a few survived. They switched to making crappy lighter lagers with watered and riced down recipes to appeal to the maximum number of drinkers possible....aka men & women instead of traditionally just men. What a disaster prohibition was! b |
