which is better for 2 10'' JL audio W6's with 500 watts pumping into both?

umm, whats better....ported or sealed?
...also, what kinda speakers do i gotta buy for up front in a civic? i measured it, and i got 6'', but they only sell 6.5'' and 51/4'' |

sealed is going to need more power to make it louder, ported is going to take less power for the same thump...

Dude, someone tells you one is louder that the other, and your set to go??
Yes they will be louder at a certain slim frequency range.. But dont expect big bass out of them, cause when you go low, they wont do very well in a ported box. Anyways, I wouldnt go ported with 10W6..

i can always seal up the hole tho....jsut cut a piece of wood to size, and use wood glue to glue it in there.

the best would be to get an amp with a subsonic filter..
or if you get an outboard crossover, they often come with a subsonic filter.. One question for you, why do you want to go ported?
