Ever had a modem crap out?
I'm not sure, but I think my cable modem may be on the way out. Today for about 6 or 7 hours it was completely useless...my computer kept telling me that I had limited or no connectivity. The network tab in the task manager showed some activity (but not more than 0.2% or so) and my cable company told me they weren't getting any signal at all from my modem. But obviously it works now if you're reading this. So what ya'll niggaz think?

Sure, mine flakes out every once in a while. Sometimes I have to call the cable company they have me reset it and they update it or something.

Have you called about the service?
The cable modems need a certian strength from the signal. So if you're boader line then it will flake out like that. Electronics rarely work then don't work then work again. They usaully just die. |

Yeah...they had me do the whole shut down computer/unplug modem for 15 seconds/plug back in/wait for a minute/restart computer thing. Didn't work the 3 times I did it last night. I've had problems where it'll reset itself if it looses signal, but it always works fine after a reset. I've never had it not register an IP address before.
