Civic Vs. Escort
my car: 90 civic si hatch, k&n typhoon intake, no sound system, no passengers
their car: 92ish escort, no visible or audible mods, one passenger I'm coming home from work, and this little escort pulls up along side me. we're goin about 40-45 and he's pullin ahead and dropping back. So at the next red light, he's all about the rocking back and forth (so its a manual), and I'm trying to guess whats under the hood. I'm pretty sure its a 1.9, so I'm like okay. I spin the tires kinda long, and he doesn't. I'm thinking easy kill, but he comes up pretty quick and is hangin right with me, slightly behind, about to my rear bumper. I shut down at 70 (i usually shut down at 60), and he of course does a flyby. I was impressed with that escort, and disgusted with my poor performance. It was also rather cold outside. He might've gotten me had he not had a passenger. I don't usually street race, but I havent had my car for a while and I was jonesin for a race... |

I have full respect for escorts now. especially after I've seen this all motor escort at a local show, NICE.
