Valve Cover
I was just wondering if you guys know if a valve cover from a '93 SI would fit on a '98 DX. Thanx guys.

what is the engine code from the two motors: d will fit d, b will fit b, and so on, i think the 93 si is a b series and the 98 dx is a d series so my geuss is no

my si was d16z6, and my '98 is a d16y7. I still have the polished cover from the '93 and thought it might look good. They look the same. I'll have to try.

i was think that the 92-95 civic si had the b16, i guess not! yeah they should fit

the 92-95 si hatchies were just the d16z6 as in the ex's only the sir's got b16's as said...should fit (excuse the tardyness...Ive been behind in posts lately ) |

but if i may ask? why would you want to do that? so you can say you have vtec when you dont? no offense im simply j/w.

The valve cover came from a '93, I don't think honda put VTEC on the valve cover until '94 or'95 it doesn't say VTEC on it. It has the honda logo and then reads honda just below it. If it said VTEC on it I would even think of doing it. Thanx guys.
