anyone ever tell you streetracing is illegal and dangerous? now that the disclaimer is out of the way good luck on finding a car. Why don't you get a crx? cheap and light, drop a b16 and have fun driving your go cart. oh, check your years of the vehicle you're looking for. you are crossing body styles, just in case you didn't know.

what silver means by mixing body styles is that Honda in an attempt to change things up a lil bit change the body styles of their cars every now and then. I think that Honda changed how their civic body looked in 97 and if you were looking for a 95-98 civic then you would be looking for a type of car that looked different than other cars that fit that specification and about this not liking street racing thing. Yes, its illegal. Yes, its illegal for a reason (people get hurt and/or die). So its really up to you whether you do it or not. Oh and good luck with the civic, and welcome to HS |

welcome to hondastyle chaz...hope u like it here and enjoy ur stay...If money is tight, I'd go with a 92-95 hatchback...their pretty cheap and easy to find and you can do a lot to them...but thats juss my opinion...about street racing, I personally don't have a problem with it although it is illegal..I have seen a lot of accidents here in NY at Hunts point...saw this one dude crash into a wall, something happened to his brakes, not sure but it wasn't a pretty site...so ya its dangerous...so juss make ur car fast and take it to the track...

Ill agree with flit on the fact that street racing is bad.
My suggestion would be, keep it on the track. That way if something happens atleast there are people there to help and you dont end up killing someone.

sorry for starting a street racing debate. and yeah that's what i meant by crossing body styles. Don't worry, you'll learn the difference between an ek, eg, and ef. let me know how the search goes and of course if there are any questions post them up or you can pm me as well. I have built a "couple" of honda monsters in my day, the question is can you handle the responsibility of having one? good luck and have fun.

Street racing is illegal, but so is alot of stuff.. if your going to do it, do it responsibly, or as responsibly as possible...
dont do it when there are other cars on the road... and dont do it in residential areas... and dont do it to much, cause your luck will run out one day ... have fun man.. its all about all show, little go... specially with my car, haha

Hey, I'm a street racer and I say race on!!!
I recommend getting a civic hatchback over a crx. you can still get them cheap and they are also light. you can drop a gsr engine to them easily. Are you looking to just race or are you looking for show also. If you are looking for just race, you can go JDM which is cheaper no body kit is involved. and it is more of a race look. If you need any help let me know, I also work in the aftermarket industry. |

Street racing is dangerious, and its pretty stupid but hey so is half the stuff people do.
You will get caught eventually...hopefully your losing so bad that the cop just thinks your speeding on your own when it happens. Anyways, Integ, or some sort of civic with b18 in it should be nice. |
