Another car question

ok, here i go
i need to sellm y car this summer cuz frankly, i keep dumping money into it and the clicks are gettin up there. Anyways, i found a couple 1990 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbos around here for sale in wicked condition with about 150,000KMS on em each. One is around $13,000 cdn and the other is $20,000 cdn. THEY ARE SO DAMN TEMPTING...BUT i'm in school and its hard to make any purchases, but DAAAYMN, this is one of my dream cars that i could make a possiblity ..and baby 400HP OOOH YEAH. eh hem, anyways. I could either TRY convince my parents to co-sign a loan for that OR just sell my car and get something for around $8000.

Also, my other option/choice would be around a 95 Eclipse AWD Turbo of course...and those go for around $12-16,000. So i need some damn opinions...i really need/wwant a new car but i'm thinkin my rents will just tell me to get something for around $6,000-8,000 because school is well, expensive...HELP ME OUT GUYS AND LADIES

so u guys are more for the 300 than the eclipse eh?

the biggest thign that'll make my rents say NO is that they think if ANYTHING, i should ge ta newer car..and these cars are a year older..

I dunno...I don't trust a TT motor with over 100K miles (or 200K kms. You crazy Canadians and you're wacky metric system). I know people sell those things liike they're made of gold, but honestly I'm with your parents...you'd be better off with a newer car that you could build to the power levels of the 300Zs with better reliability.

i agree with GT. not only will insurance rape you, that many miles(km) on a TT engine isnt healthy. your first purchases would be new turbos.

i would look into something newer man. you wanna sell the accord because it is too old and you wanna get somethings as old ? maybe look into a dsm. i like the 300z's don't get me wrong but they are old and they will require more money than the accord.

yeah i guess...i couldn't sleep last night (notice its 8am ) and i forgot about how badly insurance would rape me i really don't know what to do!!! there isn't really anything i can get for $8000cdn that is as nice or has as much potentional as a 300zx. there is no way in hell i'm gonna get a civic (no offense) or sunfire or cavalier or something like that where i have to stick A TON of money into it to make it look decent and respectably fast. I'M FREAKIN OUT MAN....id unno wtf to do
