problems with heater/air system

Well this isnt for me its for my dad. he has a 98 Intrepid which is the biggest complete pile of shit of a car i have ever worked on. Well his air/heater system has almost went down the drain. When you turn up the speeds for air the first 3 wont work and when u turn it on full blast it will finally work. What you guys think is wrong with it???

could be that the blower motor is on its last legs, or the connections are loose

Ummmm...it's a Mopar.

Hehe...but seriously, it's probably just a problem with the climate control switch of the wires leading from the switch. Damn I hate HVAC.

needs a blower resistor i am willing to bet, if it only works on high speed that usually the culprit, then again it is a MOPAR and probably has a wiring problem, search on google and see if you find and common complaints about it
