I found the link:
http://www.sdsefi.com/eic.html Just from reading up on it, this will still depend on what management unit you are using because the EIC is actually independent. It seems that this device will not prevent a MAP CEL code electronically. However, if you decide to stick to a non-stand alone or cheap piggy back, you can still use the "missing link" installed in between the TB and MAP sensor. The SDS EIC does not directly or electronically tap into the MAP sensor itself. The unit is required to have an intake manifold status input, which is not necessarily from the MAP sensor. It could be T'd off the FPR vacuum line or any other vacuum source from the IM.... such as cruise control vacuum source. The draw back of having a missing link is like having a minor boost leak just enough to trick the MAP sensor. That is why it is directly tapped into the MAP sensor...... Goodluck man. Catch me on AIM sometime..... |

SO, in essence, i would be smarter to use the VAFC hack instead since it will trick the map sensor where as the SDS EIC will not.
I guess i should try to find a VAFC for ch33p. BTW< thanks man |

Well, the hack is limitted to about 10-12 psi boost...then CEL pops up under a MAP code. A GReddy e01 piggy back or Hondata is still better IMO. If you have the AFC already, try the AFC hack. If not, I say get a Hondata S200b for about $500. A base program will only run you about $60. Hondata can only get expensive if you get the other shit that you may not use.... such as the datalogging......

Hondata's website says they estimate the cost of instalation and tuning to be around 800$.
I think if i were to go hondata, i would get the S100 with boost. But the only problem is that NOBODY w/in 200 miles of me will tune it . . . . |
