Finally did it!
Ive been wanting to get Nextel phones for a while now, but the plans are so stinkin pricey.. Well finally I said what the hell and bought some today.
Of course, I had to get 2 plans and 2 phones for the wife and I. But thats okay. I got the unlimited direct connect lets see how much we actually use it. Now to figure out a way to pay this freakin bill every month.. Anyone else with Nextel?

my next phone will be a nextel... i90 is the phone im shooting for. ive herd bad things about the i95's lifespan... and i put my last phone through some abuse. i've noticed all my nextel friends get service in my dead zones, and they have great reception where ever i also have signal...

I Got the i60 and its a peice S*** the cover slide all over and if you get any little grain of dirt in it the LCD screen gets all scratched up and looks like S***. The i90 is just like the i60 but better cover and does not scratch the screen much better phone.
But I dont think the Nextel is that pricey. I got 1000 anytime nights start at 9:00pm and all nights and weekends free. Unlimited direct connect. I got the USA plan No roaming No longdistence I can use anywhere anytime same price as local. for $49.95 |

I'm on Cellular ONE right now
My contract runs out in a couple of months though, so I'll be making a switch. Let us know how you like it.

i have nextel...i think its a waste of cash money because I dont ever use it, phone or the connect. I got it when my gf and i were together and she had it too, it was easy to talk w/ her that way and the only reason i renewed it was because I got a better deal than I had before. I still pay $40/mo for lots of mins that I dont use but I just got a thing today from them saying I can get an even cheaper plan w/ only a few less mins...not that it matters cause I only use like 200 mins a month anyway.
Oh and my phone is a peice, its the i1000+ and the service for it is offensive I cant even make a call inside my house! I have to go outside when I get a call...AND ITS FREEZING NOW!...that really sucks |

Nextel RULEZ!! Everyone I know has DC so it works out well...I guess it all depends. I hav the i95 and its a great phone. My only complaint...the battery lasts about 2 days on standby before dying out. I am thinking about using my i90 again and sell the i95...I personally prefer the i90.

I got the i60 for both of us. I dont think its that bad of a phone at all. I got the National Shared 200 plan for both my wife an I. I will probably switch plans when I find a good deal.
Its really nice. It makes getting ahold of my friends and wife so much easier. The coverage around here is really good compared to most other companies. Sucks living in the middle of nowhere, but Nextel seems to have a really decent coverage area.

out here in SF, CA they have an unlimited plan for $35/month which is anytime, anywhere in the city for 35$ at all you can talk. If i lived here i'd get that.
Very cool about you and the wife, why dont you share minutes if your not going to be using it much that is? |

It is the shared plan.. Its kinda stupid really.. You have to buy 2 plans and split the minutes. If I think we can get away without having a home phone I may cancel my home phone and just use my cells.

Broadband either uses existing phone lines or your cable lines. You don't need home phone service. And he already has broadband via cable.
