Is this Expensive?
Sup guys, I found a car shop near where i live and i asked them how much would an engine and the engine work cost. They told me $6000. Is this too much? I told them I want the Prelude Type S engine that has 220 horsepower. What do you guys think? Is this a deal or are they screwing me over?

I live in Miami, Florida. I'm pretty sure. It includes the tranny, etc..Is there something else i should ask. Like if they do the tranny, new axles, etc..Am i missing anything from the overall install that I should ask.

that sounds like a lot to me. my place here ballparked a swap job at about $600 worth of labor. depends on your engine cost I suppose. I'd say cut out as many middlemen as you can and buy the engine yourself, have it delivered to the shop.

www.hondamotorsonline.com has a h22a with tranny for like 2400. The LSD is like 350. Dude thats like 3000 bucks for labor. They BSing you. I wouldnt pay more than like a 1000 bucks for an install unless you are switching from an auto to a 5spd.

That's a lot of money. I'd just go for the 200hp JDM H22a.
