they are illegal in alot of places if they dont come from the factory, but for the same note most parts u put on your car can be considered illegal aswell.
im going to see if one of my buddies will take some pics of the hid and of the car so that i can put some new ones up |

No, most aftermarket mods are totally legal. HID kits have been banned by DOT because they basically just serve to blind other drivers and they never followed the original laws written to begin with. The only HID systems that are legal are OEM HID systems. Yes you can buy HID kits on the internet. However DOT has been handing out large fines for companies selling them and shutting them down. b |

^ yep, vehicles that come from the factory with HID have specially designed housings that prevent blinding....unless of course you're in a car that is lowered..then you're f#cked either way

my guess is the HID system you got on your car is POS. Might as well return it, and simply get some decent bulbs. Good lights really only ever look good on nice cars.

^my thoughts exactly that aftermarket HID's are POS. I would rather go to a scrrap yard and get them off a totaled car.

my hid has a 3year warranty work a hell of alot better than bulbs, ive spent enough on bulbs that i could have bought alot of shit. my buddy has the same kit on his teg and has had no problems ( had them for about 6 months) if u were to drive in a car with hids then after a while u would want a set as well

actually i hate HID's, they suck in the rain, try some hella yellow stars which are prefectly legal(according to illinois motor vehicle code)
you'll never think hid's are better |

Most headlights suck in the rain. But that's why you get a good set of amber fog lights and drive slower.
HIDs are great, but they're not worth it unless properly designed (such as OEM). Aftermarket kits just blind other drivers. Going through lots of headlights? Sheot I've never had a problem with blowing headlights. I can easily go 2-5 years on 1 set of headlights. Do you have an aftermarket housing or something? b |

i can see great in rain, i have dropped the 3'' so its not like they are pointed up i have more problems with factory hids blinding me. i have had most of the popular bulbs out there in both factory housing and aftermarket and they still suck cant see and dont last and for what they cost its not worth it.

I went MTEC, jdm shit, great bulbs but they run at 100w so you have to be careful, I haven't had a problem with melting neither has my friend (he's had his in for a year and half plus they have a lifetime warranty. my friend just bought some yellow MTEC bulbs and they are sweet as hell, so his accord is looking damn close to JDM
