Trouble with mouse.. (for Computer techs)
I was trying to hookup a ps2 mouse (with scroll), on an older cpu which has a serial port for a mouse.
The mouse I'm trying to install is a AOpen 2 button with scroll. I used an adapter that converts ps2 to serial. The adapter I bought seperately at some electronics supply shop. I know the PS2 uses a 5volt system while the serial a 10 volt system. But is there any simple way to get the cpu to detect the mouse and use it?! Thanks! JP

as far as i know you need a special mouse for that. not all of them will work. Go to the store and find a ps2 mouse with the adapter in the package. it shoud not rum more than 5 usd.
