Yeah, I'm new...but I saw that response and HAD to say something. Who are you to downgrade her for her choice in what to do to HER car. Engine mods can be and are very expensive, so EXCUSE her, me, and/or everyone else in the world that doesn't have $8 grand + to make our rides as fast as the next guy. Contrary to belief, there are such things as...dare I say..."Show Cars" not meant to break the sound barrier. We all have different plans for our vehicles. Some want to have the best appearance in their area, some want to be the fastest, some want the best of both worlds....but we all do it for US. Getting positive feedback and "constructive" criticism are just the bonuses. We get a sense of pride when every time we enter the car, we know the work that was taken to get it to where it is now, and what it will take to get it to where we want it to be. We do do it for attention, because it feels good to be admired for something you created, whether it be at stoplight encounters, group gatherings, or car shows. Sew us. To me, "RICE" is trying to be something your not: Nitrous or other product stickers on the car that is not equipped with the product, Taking on more than you KNOW you can chew and still try to pass your defeat on as a victory. THAT is rice, not bringing your car together the way you and only you imagined it.

Just so you know, I only drive an '89 Olds as a beater and am currently working my ass off for the past year and still have a bit to go just to get the vehicle I want, whether anyone else likes what I'm after is not my concern. And yes, believe me its NOT to keep you happy, I will be upgrading the engine, suspension and interior RIGHT off the bat( many of the parts and electronics scattered on the floor, waiting) just in case I run into the many...and I do mean MANY, people in this city with moderately to pretty quick cars who are cockier than all $hite(sadly to say imports as well as domestics) This is why I'd decided on a '93-'94 Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R to be my vehicle of choice.
