ITS A 325I.
A friend of mine has a 89or90 325i that he bored out to a 3.0L engine and he also has a custom exhusts system on it. Now this car goes, the v6 stangs wont touch it. To help it pull better he also took the tranny from a hardtop 325i (different gearing ratio, dont ask me the details i dont know) so 1st, 2nd and 3rd are not as tall. In the city he doesn't get as good milage but he can rip up 0-60 and has taken that car to ~250km/h or ~155mph.
I think if you want real power out of the car your going to have to do some work to it. Theres no cheap, easy solution to a small underpowered 2.5L engine.
