Ya i did it. it's easy on mine there were 4 bolts holding it on (for the front heat shield, i didn't bother to do the rear heatshiled yet as you cannot really see it)
sanded it off REALLY good. I mean down to bare metal and where there were rust spots i sanded down as much as possible.
then like they all said use HIGH TEMP paint i used duplicoat's ENGINE PAINT. do light even coats and allow them to get tacky in between coats. allow it to air dry for as long as you can (the longer the better... i got ancy and tried putting it back on early and even with delicate handling i ended up screwing up the bolts and a small part of the heatshield.)
take yer time it'll come out looking good. (although im a little disappointed with the black it came out looking a little opaqueish)
