Can't he just replace the cv joints without replacing the axels? I know that if you drive too long with bad joints it'll ruin the axel and then the bad axel will ruin the new cv joints all the time....but does he really need a new axel right off the bat?
I ask because I don't know, not arguing with you.
Oh, and I second the bad joints problem.
