I'd vote dinner and a movie. Haha, j/k. Well, not totally....but it is the obvious date, as stated.
If the timing works out, I'd say dinner and a play, or dinner and a symphony...unfortunately, though, good plays/symphonies aren't always going on. Maybe you'll even need to have a road trip to get to a bigger city to enjoy it?
Maybe dinner and a nice jaz bar, or a good comedy club. I guess they all involve dinner....but dinner isn't really a necessity. It's just nice to make a whole evening out of it.
