This article touches on one key point: The thing that makes a car quick is adding all the elements together. A fuel system isn't going to do any good if the car can't ingest enough air to make use of the extra fuel. The point of all those products is to cram as much air/fuel mix into the combustion chamber as possible, burn it, and exit it as efficiently as possible.
