There's an exception to every rule. There'll always be the 500hp Honda. There'll always be the 10 second Nissan. The problem is that one car doesn't redeem a whole brand. Ok...so if I'm to believe that dyno sheet, dude's got a fast VW. So what? I could still take him with my extremely low tech dumbestic. The point is that VWs are girl's cars, plain and simple. Every time I see a guy in a VW, I question his sexual orientation (again, the R32s are an exception). And they're really not "light as fuck". For a car to be built solidly, it has to have weight. There's almost no way around that in conventional automotive practice. Either you build a solid exotic with a chromoly monocoque chassis or you suck it up, add on the pounds, and build a heavy ass car. There's no 2 ways about it.
