same thing happened to me lots of weird noises clicking relays bright and dim lights all over.....and I thought it was the same thing your describing , just because my battery died I fucking freaked out really bad, I stared pulling out my steering wheel plastics, consoles, etc.... and all it was, is a dead battery..and it said 12.7V on my meter.
1st THING GET A NEW BATTERY!!

you said you bent wires and one ecu ground wire has no continuity to ground, get some aligator clips and jump it.
