yea its been out for a while. They actually bought Giant AntiSpyware, slapped their branding on it, and called it a beta.
It does a decent job, but doesn't get everything. Its a good solution for the casual user, because it will update itself and scan on a schedule, just like an anti-virus program.
whats not cool about it:
If you run dual displays, you see the window open even if you "minimized" it. sloppy programming.
It takes up memory. I already run antivirus in the background. I don't need another program scanning my shit. especially since the best way to not get spyware, is don't go to crap sites. I have had zero spyware problems lately because I don't go to these scummy popular sites. better to avoid the problem then have a memory eater protecting me from the problem.
but yes, it is decent for what it is.
