Well Ive never ran w/ my laptop, but like I said I have run w/ md's...all of them. The only reason I changed players was because I wanted new tech...they all still work fine and they have moving parts just like a cd player.
Id be a little cautious w/ something like an ipod because of its plates. I mean if my stationary hd can go through 4hds just sitting there and getting minor travel time then running can definately break an ipod over time and use
