any viper alarm should be pretty good I have the 350 and paid I think about $250 installed and should be accepted by your insurance unless their gay. from what I have heard the only time they go back in for anything is if you want it more/less sencitive then what its set at. one thing I do and don't like is that mine is it doesn't arm itself should I forget to set it. I do like it since if your working on the car you won't have to worry about it setting but if you go in for the night and forget then guess what no alarm
