Its almost impossible to screw up.

First undo the knob from inside and remove the center console.
Then just remove the middle exhasut hanger so you can push it to the side (or you can take the whole thing down).
Then just unbolt the old shifter and pull it down.
Put in the new one (this is the only part that is even possible to screw up.......you could put it in backwards...)
Put your stuff back and call it a day.

Some shifters require you to reuse the stock shifter wieght/ball's bushing...some dont. That'd be easy to figure out by just comparing the two.

An important note: Do not make the shifter bolt too tight or else you will not be able to shift since the forks will be squeezing the end too tightly.
