the institution of marrage was around before christanity, and is not limited to christians only. so to say that god hates homosexuals because of christianity relly isnt looking at the whole issue.

i also have no problems with gays, i have known a few, none of my friends are, but honestly if they are happy, they who does it really effect? is it going to make you (not you directly, the plural you) loose sleep over it, or change your lifestyle because 2 people of the same sex want to spend their lives together? if anythign it will help slow down the free sex of homosexuals and possibly help hinder STD's that are very common among the gay communites.

i was raised a pretty hardcore catholic, and the one thing i remeber is acceptance and forgiveness. now i dont consider myself a very religoius person but it seems a bit hypocritical in my eyes that it is being so condemed by the on faith thats primary beliefe that god loves everyone and forgives anyone who wishes to be.
